Modern Higher Secondary School, Pottur founded in 1994,is run by crescent Educational Trust. The School campus is located over five acres of land in Pottur village. The calm and healthy surroundings and climate of the campus are suitable for proper mental &physical growth of students. We aim to create learners with universal values, who accept all cultures & religions. The school will strive to help students academically bring out their inborn abilities potentials & talents.  The school is recognized by government of Kerala (No. B5/2125/2006). It is situated  at pottur , near to Edappal Town in Edappal Sub District ,Tirur educational district and  Malappuram revenue  district  . The centre code of high school (Std 1 to 10) is 19100.

The Higher secondary section also works with Kerala syllabus since 2005, this section is known as Crescent HSS pottur (GO(MS) No. 312/2005 G.Edn dated 12/8/2005 ). The centre code is 11181. Higher secondary offers both science and commerce batches.
